Kevin Barry Maroney, 76, passed away Friday, September 25, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  He was born April 4, 1950, in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Timothy and Gladys Maroney. Mr. Maroney graduated from Rockland High School, and went on to serve in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Vietnam.  After his time in the Army, he started a 35 year long career with Proctor & Gamble, retiring as a Product Planner. While in Rockland, he served as vice-president of the Jaycees, and a cubmaster for cub scout Pack 2, and enjoyed being a little league coach.  

Kevin and his wife Charlene retired to Savannah, Georgia where they enjoyed time with new friends and spending time on Tybee Island.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Charlene Hartigan Maroney of Savannah, his three sons, Craig Maroney (Jill) of Rockland, Massachusetts, Adam Maroney (Joni) of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Todd Maroney (Jeanna) of Independence, Kentucky.  Also surviving are his four grandchildren, Camryn, Kevin, Meredith, Erin, and his three brothers, Ronald, Timothy, Steven, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Tybee Island, time and date to be announced soon.
